Title
Automated meter reader device using laser mouse sensor
Abstract
An optimised wireless laser mouse is altered to make an automatic meter reader device to be mounted on the face of existing mechanical utility meters to detect utility consumption metered by the utility meter. The design has to be accurate, fault tolerant, low cost, secure, tamper proof, easy to install and maintenance free. Low power consumption is the essential key of the system.
